Jan 2 Nightwalk in Monteverde

THE CLOUD FOREST HERE is 4700 ft which is almost a mile high! It is about 20degrees cooler than on the coast. There is definitely a sensation of being in a cloud as there is an almost mist or fine spray all around.

I did this 2.5 hr night walk to see the nocturnal animals. This included the two-towed sloth, the Mexican Harry porcupine that was in the canopy, a tarantual borrowed in a hillside, a frog, a toucan and a viper  snake.
